The Russian Institute of Theatre Arts is hosting an international fellowship program for actors from various countries to study traditional Russian acting techniques. Participants are focusing on the systems of Konstantin Stanislavsky and Vsevolod Meyerhold.

Sept 11 (TV BRICS/GNA) – The Russian Institute of Theatre Arts (GITIS) is currently hosting the InteRussia international fellowship programme, “Professional Training for Drama and Film Actors”. Fourteen young actors from Argentina, Brazil, Germany, India, Egypt, Türkiye, South Africa, Malaysia, China, and Ethiopia are participating in the programme.
Immediately following the opening ceremony and an introduction to the institute’s history, the participants began practical sessions on stage speech. Later, they attended lectures on the creative journey of Konstantin Stanislavsky and the evolution of his system. The interns also began mastering stage movement and Vsevolod Meyerhold’s biomechanics.
Nadine Amer , an actress from Egypt holding a bachelor’s degree in acting and theatre directing, highlighted the special place Russian art holds in global culture.
