Jürgen Klopp's debut as the German national team manager was full of disappointment. During warmups, Jamal Musiala tweaked his thigh and was held out of the match as a precaution. Thirty minutes into the first half, Kai Havertz picked up a knock and had to be replaced. Despite being outplayed for most of the match, Klopp's side squeaked out a draw that was almost a clean sheet win, until Cody Gakpo 's stoppage time goal.
