Galway captain Kate Geraghty credited a "new energy" as a key reason why they have surged into the TG4 All-Ireland football final.

The Tribeswomen enjoyed a commanding 13-point victory over Armagh in Saturday's semi-final at Glennon Brothers Pearse Park to set up a Croke Park decider against Kerry on 2 August.

Speaking to RTÉ Sport's Darren Frehill at full time, Geraghty said last year's extra-time defeat to Dublin at the same stage of the competition, had spurred them on going into 2026.

"It's definitely been playing on all of our minds," she said.

"This year, we just had to regroup and there's been a new energy in the group and it's been great to see everyone pushing each other so hard at training as well."
