Georgia teen Kiran Reddy, 18, becomes first Indian-American Miss Teen USA

An 18-year-old student from Douglas, Georgia, has made history by becoming the first Indian American to win the national Miss Teen USA crown. Kiran Reddy defeated 50 other contestants during the 44th annual pageant, held at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts in Miami, Florida, on 26 August 2026, according to WALB News and Pageant Circle. Reddy, who had earlier become the first Indian American to win the Miss Georgia Teen USA title, also secured Georgia’s first national victory in the pageant’s history. Her win marks a double milestone for diversity and state representation in the long-running beauty contest.Speaking after her victory, Reddy shared her emotions about taking on the prestigious title. "I am so blessed to represent Georgia and the U.S. and be the role model I always needed growing up," Reddy said, as reported by KFI AM 640.
