Why it matters
The situation highlights the ongoing industry-wide scrutiny regarding artist conduct and the immediate impact of public allegations on professional touring.
Several performances on Geordie Greep’s U.S. tour have been cancelled following allegations of sexual misconduct made against the singer, which he has denied. As of October 10, the former Black Midi frontman’s sets in Boise, Salt Lake City, Boulder, Denver, and Omaha, have either been listed as cancelled on each venue’s website or no longer appear. One remaining U.S. performance, in Des Moines, is still scheduled to take place, as is a brief November run in Europe. Greep has not released a statement on the cancellations. Pitchfork has reached out to his reps for comment.
