A Gen Z couple stunned residents and passers-by in Nairobi’s Central Business District (CBD) after choosing the busy city streets as the venue for their wedding.
The couple, identified only by their first names as Abigael and Kiragu, exchanged vows at the Kenya National Archives, turning an ordinary day in the busy CBD into an unexpected celebration of love.
There was no fancy wedding venue, elaborate reception or carefully selected guest list.
Instead, hundreds of curious strangers, street onlookers, shoppers and passers-by suddenly became their wedding guests, cheering the couple on as they celebrated their union.
Abigael was dressed in a striking white wedding gown, complete with carefully done makeup, while Kiragu appeared ready for the special occasion.
One of the defining moments came when Kiragu went down on one knee and produced a ring for his bride-to-be.
