Gemini strikes Apex deal to widen prediction markets reach

Gemini is partnering with Apex Fintech Solutions to distribute regulated crypto-based event contracts to brokerage customers. This move allows Gemini to expand its reach in the growing prediction market sector by leveraging Apex's existing infrastructure.
Why it matters
The integration of crypto-based prediction markets into mainstream brokerage platforms signals a significant expansion of digital asset utility and market accessibility.
Gemini (GEMI), the cryptocurrency platform founded by the billionaire Winklevoss twins, is teaming up with Apex Fintech Solutions to expand distribution of its regulated crypto prediction markets to brokerage firms, the companies said in a Monday announcement.
Under a letter of intent, subsidiary Gemini Titan would become the exclusive regulated venue for crypto event contracts distributed through Apex’s futures commission merchant (FCM) to its brokerage customers.
An FCM is a regulated firm that handles customer orders and funds for trading futures and other derivatives.
Gemini would handle execution and clearing, allowing brokerages using Apex to offer crypto-based event contracts without having to build their own connections to a prediction-market exchange.
