Gas for Africa, NNPC launch Nigeria gas, power infrastructure map

The Gas for Africa programme, in partnership with the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited, has unveiled the Nigeria gas and power infrastructure map 2026.
In a statement on Friday, Gas for Africa said the map, launched at the 25th edition of the NOG Energy Week in Abuja, is the first “comprehensive update” of the country’s gas and power infrastructure in over a decade.
“The map provides a single reference document covering Nigeria’s entire gas and power value chain, bringing together upstream, midstream and downstream infrastructure to support investment decisions, policy formulation and industry planning,” the statement reads.
“The update comes after significant changes in Nigeria’s gas sector over the past decade, including the development of new pipelines, gas processing facilities, power projects and the rapid expansion of compressed natural gas (CNG) and liquefied natural gas (LNG) infrastructure.”
