Gary Lewis: Wasp Head tours reveal 280-million-year history
Geologist Gary Lewis is launching a series of guided walking tours at Wasp Head in Murramarang National Park to educate the public on the region's 280-million-year geological history. The tours highlight ancient fossils and the dramatic landscape changes caused by past ice ages and sea-level fluctuations.

"I think that's where the joy of geology started," he said.
"It's like time travel, to go back and try to work out what it was like in that place 280 million years ago."

"I'm using my geology background to try to spread the joy with people around the South Coast," he said.
