One of the vehicles involved in a serious collision on the M50 at the weekend, in which 9 people were injured, had been reported stolen the previous day, according to gardaí.
Eight teenagers and a man were hospitalised after the incident yesterday when a car, which drove the wrong way down an exit ramp onto the M50, was in a collision with another car driven by the man.
The eight teenagers were in the car which was travelling the wrong way.
The car had been reported stolen on Saturday, the day before the collision, and this was the subject of a garda investigation.
The collision happened southbound on the M50 at Junction 12, Firhouse, at 5.30am yesterday morning.
The eight teenagers were brought to different hospitals for treatment and one of them is in a critical condition.
