The Madhavaram Milk Colony police have arrested three persons in connection with the deadly assault on a 27-year-old man in Mathur, near Manali, on Wednesday. A video of the gang attacking the victim in broad daylight went viral on social media.
A senior official from the Avadi Police Commissionerate said a dispute erupeted between the victim and a group of five persons on Monday over dancing during a temple festival in Kodungaiyur. The victim, Karthik, a resident of Mathur, was reportedly dancing, when a verbal altercation broke out with the group from nearby localities.
