Newly-appointed Jharkhand BJP in-charge Gajendra Singh Patel on Tuesday (October 6, 2026) lashed out at the Jharkhand government over its failures, corruption, and law-and-order situation. He also cornered the government on student issues.

He attacked the State government over the issue of infiltration, voter lists, women’s safety, and employment. He asserted that the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM)-Congress-Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) alliance has been in power in Jharkhand since 2019, yet the public has received nothing but disappointment.

At his first press conference at the party’s State office in Ranchi after assuming the post, Mr Patel, also the BJP National General Secretary, raised serious questions about the Jharkhand government’s performance and policies.
