Logo text It’s safe to say the honeymoon period between Gail Lerner and NBC has come to an end. Lerner has been fired from her own NBC sitcom, Newlyweds , ahead of its premiere.
In an Instagram post, Lerner says the reason she was given was “creative differences.” An NBC spokesperson confirmed that was the case.
Lerner called Newlyweds , set to premiere on Oct. 23, “the most joyous TV experience of my life.” Newlyweds stars an actual married couple, Tim Daly and T a Leoni. Daly and Leoni have been together for more than a decade after meeting on CBS' 2014-19 drama Madam Secretary .
