The Brazilian is no longer in the plans of Gunners manager Mikel Arteta and is set to leave the Emirates Stadium club for Al-Hilal.
Some at Arsenal are surprised the North London club are letting Martinelli go before securing an alternative in that area.
However, it is believed that the Gunners could make a loan move for Rashford as they eye a replacement.
The Man United star spent last season on loan at Barcelona and the 28-year-old was with Aston Villa for the second half of 2024-25.
Rashford is back with the Red Devils and was involved against Hull City last weekend.
