G.M. University, Davangere, will introduce nine undergraduate programmes in health and allied health sciences in the academic year 2026-27, aiming to meet the growing demand for trained personnel in the healthcare sector.
Speaking at a press conference in Davangere on Saturday, Pratheeksha C., assistant professor, G.M. Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research Centre, said the programmes were designed to provide students with theoretical knowledge, practical training, and clinical exposure in various healthcare disciplines.
The programmes include Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT), Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (BOT), Bachelor of Optometry (BOptom), Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Sciences (BMLS), Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics (BND), Bachelor of Psychology (BPsy), Bachelor of Medical Radiology and Imaging Technology (BMRIT), Bachelor of Anaesthesia and Operation Theatre Technology (BAOTT), and Bachelor of Dialysis Therapy Technology (BDTT).
