Visakhapatnam hosted the second edition of the Fusion AI Summit 2026 at the VMRDA Children Arena, establishing the city as India’s premier artificial intelligence conclave on the East Coast.
Global tech leaders, policymakers, and industry pioneers gathered at the inaugural session to accelerate India’s technological transformation from vision to execution.
Sreedhar Kosaraju, chairman of the APDTI Network, opened the event by noting that Andhra Pradesh secures nearly 20% of India’s recent data centre investments over the past two years. Major players like Google, Reliance, RMG, ReNew, and CtrlS commit nearly 4 GW of data centre capacity, cementing Visakhapatnam as a major investment destination.
Kondapalli Srinivas, Minister for MSME, SERP, and NRI Empowerment & Relations, inaugurated the summit and emphasized youth skill development while highlighting the state government’s adoption of real-time governance through WhatsApp-based AI services.
