Why it matters
The expansion reflects growing industrial investment in the Hyderabad region and the modernization of the Indian furniture manufacturing sector.
Furniture maker Fabience plans to set up a new, more than 1.5 lakh sq ft., greenfield plant near Hyderabad with an investment of around ₹50 crore.
The facility is targeted for completion next year and is expected to generate direct employment opportunities for around 100 people, Managing Director Raj Venu Gopal Takkallapally said in a release on Friday.
The plant will incorporate advanced Italian and German machinery alongside cutting-edge manufacturing technologies. Its focus on automation, precision, quality, and production efficiency will help Fabience scale up movable furniture capabilities, including sofas, chairs, loungers, and other standalone furniture categories, while helping to expand core modular furniture offerings.
