Full water flow in Sadayaneri canal to be ensured this year, says Thoothukudi Collector

Photo : RAJESH N THOOTHUKUDI Thoothukudi District Collector Vishu Mahajan on Thursday assured the farmers that it would be ensured that Sadayaneri canal would receive water to its full capacity this year. Addressing them at the grievance redress meeting held at the Thoothukudi Collectorate, he said that officials had been instructed to ensure that the canal received the full capacity of water this year. During the meeting, farmers raised several concerns, including the high cost of seeds sold through cooperative societies.
