The national weather agency said damage to plants, trees, and crops is possible as the mercury plunges Monday evening. The mercury could drop as low as 3 C on Tuesday morning amid sunny conditions.
“Take preventative measures to protect cold-sensitive plants, trees, and crops. Cover up plants, especially those in frost-prone areas,” a bulletin to the Environment Canada website read.
