NEW DELHI: Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke was taken to Gurugram after being detained by Delhi Police at the Indira Gandhi International Airport on Saturday, ahead of the outfit’s proposed protest against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.CJP leaders Ashutosh Ranka and Saurav Das were also detained. Ranka was taken to Dwarka, while Das was taken to a location in Delhi.Nearly 1,500 people have been detained in connection with the protest.As he was being detained at the airport, Dipke said, “Even Indira Gandhi didn't do this,” adding, “arrest hone liye hi aaya hu.”Stringent traffic restrictions came into force across Delhi at 6 am on Saturday, with police deploying personnel at barricades and key intersections to check vehicles and regulate movement around the proposed protest site.
