Frequency of drinking water supply reduced in Srirangam
The Tiruchi City Corporation has reduced drinking water supply in Wards 1 to 7 due to falling water levels in the Kollidam river. Residents will now receive water once daily instead of twice until the situation improves.

The Tiruchi City Corporation has announced a temporary reduction in drinking water supply timings for Wards 1 to 7 due to a decline in the water level in the Kollidam.
According to an official press note, drinking water from the Aalavandhan Padithurai Pumping Station used to supplied twice daily from 5 a.m. to 8.30 a.m. and again from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. However, the reduced water level has affected the pumping station’s ability to maintain the existing schedule.
