French electronic musician Vincent Belorgey, known as Kavinsky, has died at age 50. A pioneer of the 'French touch' house music scene, he gained international fame for his track 'Nightcall' featured in the film Drive.

French DJ Kavinsky has been found dead at his Paris home, according to local authorities. The body of the 50-year-old, whose real name was Vincent Belorgey, was discovered on Tuesday evening.Kavinsky was a leading figure of the house music movement, 'French touch', alongside Daft Punk, Justice, Cassius and DJ Mehdi.The Paris prosecutor's office said that "an investigation to establish the causes of death" had been opened, noting that no suspect was found at the scene on Tuesday evening."France has lost one of its most distinctive voices", French Culture Minister Catherine Pégard said in a message on social media network X.
