BATU PAHAT, Oct 3 — French cyclist Ronan Auge has been placed in a medically induced coma to stabilise his condition following a crash during Stage Six of Le Tour de Langkawi (LTdL) 2026, but the rider is “in good hands” and currently doing well, said Unibet Rose Rockets sports director Joram Grootveld.
He said the 22-year-old was rushed to hospital immediately after the crash during the early stages of the Pandan Indah-Rembau route yesterday, with the team doctor remaining by his side to monitor his condition around the clock.
“There was a big crash at the beginning of the stage yesterday and it was such a big crash that we needed to get him to hospital very quickly. Our team doctor was with him yesterday and is also with him today.
