The Sports Authority of Telangana (SATG) has decided in principle to constitute a committee to review its recently revised sports coaching fee structure, following feedback from athletes and parents.

The decision was taken at a review meeting held at LB Stadium, chaired by SATG Chairman K. Shiva Sena Reddy and Vice-Chairperson and Managing Director A. Sonibala Devi.

Clarifying the controversy over the fee revision, SATG said the new Government Order (GO) would enable more than 42% of trainees to avail themselves of free coaching. However, unlike the earlier fee structure, the new GO provides for free coaching based on students’ educational and economic backgrounds, SATG said.
