Fraudster Reece Salmon, previously jailed for scamming elderly Kiwis, murdered in the UK after deportation

A young father murdered on an affluent central London street last week had recently been deported after being released from a New Zealand jail for an elaborate $400,000 fraud against elderly Kiwis .

Reece Salmon, 28, has been named as the victim of a fatal stabbing in Clerkenwell, England, late on September 16.

Police were called to Lloyd Baker St – dubbed “Millionaire’s Row” locally – after reports of the stabbing and found Salmon with multiple wounds. He was taken to hospital but could not be saved.

No arrests have been made and officers were making “urgent inquiries”, Metropolitan Police said.

Salmon had been released on parole from prison in New Zealand this year, having been sentenced last year for posing as an undercover police officer to convince victims to hand over cash and gold bullion.
