The child, identified as Gagan Sindhu, had accompanied his parents, Narayansaamy and Madhu, to purchase clothes at Pillappa Complex in Chickballapur town. According to preliminary information, the parents were busy shopping when the child was playing near the first-floor corridor. While holding onto the safety grill, he reportedly lost his balance and fell to the ground floor.
The family hails from Gollaradoddi village in Chickballapur taluk.
