According to the police, S. Savitha, alias Kalaiselvi (19), a resident of Sankarampalayam near Tiruchengode in Namakkal district, was a first-year student at Rasipuram Thiruvalluvar Arts College. On Thursday evening, she went to Elachipalayam Government Higher Secondary School on a two-wheeler and picked up her younger sisters, Nivetha (17), a class XI student, Dhanu Sri (12), of class VII and her cousin R. Abinaya (11), a class VI student, and was headed to Sankaramapalayam.
