The Salem Central Crime Branch (CCB) police arrested four real estate owners for cheating money here on Thursday (October 8, 2026).

According to the police, Prakash (36), a resident of Pudhur Agraharam near Kondalamapatti, a private company employee approached a real estate company at Kuranguchavadi and paid ₹4 lakh as advance for a land on Pudhu Road.

However, the company did not register the land in his name. When he inquired, he found that the company had received money from many persons by showing the same land.

Following this, he lodged a complaint with the CCB. The police registered a case and, on Thursday, arrested real estate company owners Amirtharaj, Tamilarasan, Mukeshvaran, and Irfan and remanded them in prison.
