Four persons held for robbing bank employee of ₹11 lakh, laptop in T. Nagar

Four persons were arrested for robbing a 33-year-old private bank employee of ₹11 lakh and a laptop after waylaying him in T. Nagar.
The police said the complainant, A. Karthikeyan, a resident of Boopala Vinayagar Nagar in Kundrathur, was asked by his uncle in Malaysia to collect ₹12 lakh from a person in Parry’s Corner on Tuesday night. He kept ₹1 lakh in his pocket and carried the remaining ₹11 lakh in a bag.
While he was riding his two-wheeler along G.N. Chetty Road near Vani Mahal flyover in T. Nagar, four men travelling on two motorcycles intercepted him. They snatched the bag containing ₹11 lakh and a laptop and fled on their motorcycles.
Based on Karthikeyan’s complaint at the Pondy Bazaar Police Station, the police registered a case and launched an investigation.
