Four people including baby die after car crash

A car crash on the A38 in Derby resulted in the deaths of four people, including a baby, after their vehicle hit trees. The driver has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving while investigations continue.

A baby and three people have died after a car hit trees on a busy dual carriageway in Derby.
Emergency services were called after a red Hyundai car left the A38 and crashed into trees - between the A50 Toyota Island and the A516 - at about 23:00 BST on Saturday.
Derbyshire Police said the passengers, two women, 18 and 30, and a man, 36, died at the scene. The baby girl was taken to hospital where she died shortly after.
