Four killed in separate accidents
Four people were killed in two separate road accidents in the Tiruchi and Pudukottai districts of Tamil Nadu. In both incidents, motorcycle and scooter riders collided with larger vehicles, leading to immediate fatalities and ongoing police investigations.

Four persons, including two women, were killed in separate road accidents reported in Tiruchi city and in Pudukottai district on Wednesday.
Police sources said three persons on a motorcycle were proceeding on Dindigul - Tiruchi main road when the fatal accident occurred in the morning. The two-wheeler riders were identified as Ramesh, Vinod and Saravanan.
The motorcycle was taking a turn at a centre median opening in Karumandapam area, when it collided with a lorry proceeding towards Pirattiyur.
Police said Ramesh, who was riding the motorcycle, and Vinod on the pillion, were killed on the spot, while Saravanan - another pillion rider was undergoing treatment. The lorry driver has been named as the accused. The Traffic South Investigation unit has registered a case.
