Four held with suspected MDMA in Kozhikode

Four persons, including a woman, were arrested in two separate cases involving the seizure of 20.7 grams of suspected MDMA in Kozhikode on Saturday (October 10, 2026) night.
In the first case, the Kunnamangalam police arrested V.M. Afnas, 27, of Nochad in Perambra, and Rinsha Fathima, 23, of Edathanattukara in Palakkad district, and seized 11.90 grams of the suspected drug allegedly kept for sale.
According to the police, the accused were travelling in a speeding car that failed to stop when signalled by officers during a vehicle check at Kattangal Junction. The police pursued the car and intercepted it near the National Institute of Technology-Calicut. The vehicle was also taken into custody.
