Four held in ₹37-lakh cheating case

The Thrikkakara police have arrested four people, including a convict in a sensational sexual abuse case, for allegedly cheating a man of ₹37 lakh. The accused allegedly cheated the complainant, a native of Thiruvananthapuram, by promising returns up to five-fold on investment in a company exporting frozen food.
The arrested are Sunilkumar, 48, of Pallikkal, Malappuram; Anilkumar, aka Nithyachaithanya Swamy, of Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu; Latha Nair, 60, of Thiruvalla, and Sindhu Dileepkumar, 52, of Chirayinkeezh. Ms. Nair was a convict in the sexual abuse case.
