The Thalassery Additional District and Sessions Court-I has sentenced four persons to life imprisonment and imposed a fine of ₹50,000 each on them for killing K. Ajith Kumar of Pullippikkadavu, Unnathi, Kannur.

Judge C.J. Denny sentenced V. Niyas, P. Mukesh, and K. Reneesh, all natives of Kottali, and Namith Balakrishnan, a resident of Attadappa, to imprisonment.

The incident occurred on October 19, 2015, at Pullippikkadavu. According to the prosecution case, Ajith Kumar was talking to his friend Nizamuddin when the accused, led by Niyas and armed with weapons, arrived at the spot and attacked them.

While Ajith Kumar died in the attack, Nizamuddin sustained injuries. The police registered the case on Nizamuddin’s complaint.
