The High Court has found four men guilty of murdering former Kabete MP George Muchai and his three companions in a 2015 shooting in Nairobi.
Justice Kanyi Kimondo convicted Eric Mungera Isabwa, Raphael Kimani Gachii, Mustafa Kimani Anyoni and Stephen Astiva Lipopo after finding that the prosecution had proved the murder charges against them beyond reasonable doubt.
The four were facing four counts of murder over the deaths of Muchai, his two police bodyguards, Constable Samuel Kimathi Kailikia and Constable Samuel Lekakeny Matanta, and his driver, Stephen Ituu Wambugu.
In his judgment, Justice Kimondo said the prosecution had established that the four accused jointly committed the murders on the night of February 6 and 7, 2015, along Kenyatta Avenue in Nairobi.
