The Manipal police have arrested four engineering students in connection with the assault of two youths in Manipal on Sunday night.

The police identified the accused as A. Akshay, S. Puneet, K.R. Shamanth, and B.J. Yeshwanth, all aged 21 and natives of Shivamogga district.

The police said the accused came in two separate cars and assaulted the victims, Pavan Kumar and Shreyas, in front of Janani Bar and Restaurant on Sunday night. Kumar sustained a serious head injury. The accused also issued death threats to the two victims.
