Four booked for attempt to murder after setting ablaze man in Keralam

A man was allegedly assaulted and set ablaze by a group of four persons at Piravom along the eastern suburbs of Ernakulam district, Keralam, in the early hours of Thursday (September 17, 2026).
The victim identified as Arun Prakash, a resident of Kakkad in Piravom, who sustained serious burns was rushed to the Kottayam Medical College Hospital.
The accused have been identified as Jishnu, Chandanu, Salbarin, and another identifiable person, all residents of Piravom. The Piravom police have taken into custody Chandanu, while Jishnu who sustained burns during the alleged assault remains hospitalised. The other two are under surveillance, said the police.
