The D-Nagar police have arrested four persons in connection with the murder of a 24-year-old youth near Pakkumudiyanpet on East Coast Road on Monday night.
The four arrested — Mariyan, Vandu alias Anandharaj, Mohanraj and Vinoth, all residents of Lawspet — have been accused of fatally stabbing the youth, Madankumar, with a broken beer bottle. Preliminary investigation revealed that the deceased and the accused were drinking in a bar on ECR before the fatal assault. The police are trying to ascertain the motive behind the murder.
