Four arrested for robbing West Bengal businessman of ₹26.54 lakh in Coimbatore

The police have arrested four members of a 10-member gang that allegedly robbed a businessman from West Bengal of ₹26.54 lakh, a gold ring and two mobile phones, after abducting him from Coimbatore on August 17.
Vinoth (37) and Vinoth Kumar (39) of Dindigul district, Shanmugaraj (44) of Puthur in Tiruchi, and Senthilkumar (45) of Parasalur in Mayiladuthurai district were arrested based on a complaint lodged by Debjit Rana (25), a native of Hooghly district in West Bengal.
The police said that Mr. Rana used to visit Tiruppur for wholesale purchase of garments. He got connected with one Anand Kumar, who claimed to have been doing garments business in Tiruppur, through a social media platform two months ago.
