The Tirupati police arrested four individuals involved in five theft cases reported across the district. At a media conference here on Friday (September 11, 2026), Additional Superintendents of Police Arla Srinivasulu (Administration) and K. Ravi Manoharachari (Law & Order) produced the four accused and also the recovered booty before the media.

The police arrested Gongati Mallikarjuna Reddy (38) of Jammalamadugu, and a tractor-cum-trolley was recovered from his possession. Upon investigation, he revealed that he had stolen the engine from another tractor, which was also recovered from him. The total value of the recovered items was estimated to be ₹10.5 lakh.

In another case, the accused identified as Dayanaboina Ravi (55) and Sivaratri Chandu (23), who were involved in several instances of stealing motorcycles parked on the roadside, were arrested, and two vehicles worth ₹1.9 lakh were recovered.
