The Kumaran Nagar police arrested four persons who were allegedly involved in assaulting a man and robbing him of ₹10 lakh on Wednesday (September 2, 2026).

A senior official from the city police said that Sahul Hameed (37), a resident of West Saidapet, was working in a shop in Burma Bazaar owned by Aasik. Sahul Hameed, on the instructions of his employer, had collected cash from two specific individuals and was carrying ₹10 lakh in his bag in Ashok Nagar.

As he was riding a two-wheeler to deposit the money in a private bank, a gang of six persons intercepted Hameed near Raghavan Colony in Jafferkhanpet, and after attacking him with a knife, they snatched the bag containing ₹10 lakh and fled.
