Four arrested as two Oldham brothels shut down by police

Four arrests have been made after two brothels were uncovered in Oldham . Closure orders have been issued for properties on Balfour Street and Miriam Street after officers attended the houses on Monday (July 27) and Tuesday (July 28). Residents, councillors and partner agencies had made reports of suspicious activity at the homes. According to police, men were seen arriving during the day and night, staying for a short period before suddenly leaving soon. Greater Manchester Police said the activity had caused 'significant distress' to neighbours. On Monday, neighbourhood officers team attended an address on Balfour Street where they found a brothel.
