Foundation stone for Indiramma houses in CURE on July 20
The Telangana government is launching a pilot project to construct Indiramma houses for low-income groups in the Core Urban Region. Officials are currently finalizing eligibility guidelines and design specifications for the multi-storey housing units.

The foundation stone for Indiramma houses for people from Lower Income Group (LIG) in Core Urban Region (CURE) would be laid on July 20. The houses would be built in 26 Assembly constituencies, with 500 to 1,000 in each on a pilot project basis. The rest would be constructed in a phase-wise manner
The State Cabinet on May 23 approved one lakh LIG houses in the CURE limits. Housing and Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy earlier directed officials to issue guidelines with details on eligibility criteria, locations of the houses and others in July first week.
The Minister, who held a meeting with Housing Corporation officials on Tuesday, said that the guidelines, eligibility criteria, tenders process, implementation and other details would be announced along with Hyderabad in-charge Minister Ponnam Prabhakar and Rangareddy in-charge Minister Dudilla Sridar Babu.
