Former NSW police officer’s trial continues over alleged murder of Jesse Baird, Luke Davies

The former police officer has pleaded not guilty to murdering Sydney couple Jesse Baird, 26, and Luke Davies, 29, in the eastern suburbs on February 19, 2024. His criminal trial started in the historic King Street court complex on Monday.

Beau Lamarre-Condon (left) is accused of murdering Jesse Baird and Luke Davies. The Crown alleges Lamarre-Condon planned to kill Baird after developing an obsessive and jealous infatuation with him following a casual romantic relationship, and killed Davies spontaneously to eliminate a witness to the crime.

Today, Lamarre-Condon’s barrister, John Stratton, SC, outlined the defence case in his opening address.
