Former AIADMK MLA’s son killed in road accident in Chennai

A 21-year-old youth, son of former AIADMK MLA P. Periyapullan, was killed after his motorcycle crashed into an earthmover on Sardar Patel Road in Guindy on Wednesday.
According to the police, the victim has been identified as Ulaga Athipathi, of Melur taluk in Madurai. The accident occurred around 7.30 a.m. when Ulaga Athipathi was riding his motorcycle from Gandhi Mandapam flyover towards Guindy.
The police said that his motorcycle rammed into a JCB earthmover near the Highways Department office on Sardar Patel Road. In the impact, he was thrown off the bike, and the JCB ran over him. He sustained severe injuries to his body and died on the spot.
