Election authorities have formally filed a police complaint against the person who had applied for bulk deletion of voters in Musheerabad constituency under false declaration on Form-7, as part of the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of Electoral Rolls.

The complaint followed instructions from Chief Electoral Officer C. Sudharsan Reddy to all the District Election Officers for action against the applicants who have knowingly made false statement of declaration in the Forms 6, 6A, 7 & 8 under the provisions of the Section 31 of the Representation of People Act, 1950. The CEO also noted that such action should be preceded by an inquiry under the Rule 20 of the Registration of Electors Rules, 1960.
