Forest, police personnel seize hunting equipment in Peddapalli district

Forest and police officials in Peddapalli district conducted a joint raid to seize illegal hunting equipment, including nets and snares. The operation coincided with Wildlife Week, and officials used the opportunity to educate villagers on the importance of wildlife protection.

A joint team of forest personnel and local police seized hunting equipment during a raid at Kurmapalli village in Peddapalli district on Saturday.
The cordon-and-search operation was conducted following directions from senior Forest Department officials. According to a press release, the seized equipment included nets, snares, knives, iron cages and binding wire.
Following the operation, the officials organised an awareness meeting for villagers as part of the Wildlife Week.
