Congress's Rahul Gandhi is breaking new grounds in terms of sartorial trend for politicians. While the 56-year-old Leader of the Opposition had started sporting Tees shirts during his Bharat Jodo Yatra in 2022, the new T-shirts he is appearing in lately are a world away.While traversing from Kanyakumari to Kashmir during the Bharat Jodo Yatra, Gandhi had carried out the foot march in white tees, sticking to a sporty look. Even during the winter leg of the Bharat Jodo Yatra, Gandhi wore T-shirts. Thereafter, he was seen consistently seen in T-shirts at various events -party programmes to political visits. Soon, several Congress leaders who previously appeared in nothing but kurta-pyjamas also started wearing T-shirts. Now, to address paper leak issues with an eye to reach out to the Gen Z, Gandhi is conducting the nationwide "Chhatron Ki Goonj" programme.
