Food for the Hungry launches art exhibit to support children's education
Abakada ng Pag-asa is a five‑day watercolor art exhibit (Sept. 23–27, The Podium, Ortigas) featuring 11 artists to raise funds for 190 learners in Leyte and Samar.
Proceeds will support Teaching at the Right Level, grouping Grade 2–3 pupils by learning ability to address literacy and numeracy gaps in vulnerable communities.
Food for the Hungry Philippines highlights urgent needs: 300,000 Region VIII learners required reading interventions last year, and Eastern Visayas ranks second‑lowest in functional literacy nationwide.
