Scuro said, however, that "Everton realized there was no issue and decided they were ready to sign the contract." That was around 11 p.m. in Monaco. Both clubs completed the necessary paperwork, only for Balogun to decide he was "not feeling comfortable" with Everton's handling of the situation.
